Gunpla Pre-orders and New Releases for September 2015

Some of my best Gunpla building memories happened in September. Once, when an east coast hurricane took out our power, I built an RG Char’s Zaku II by the light of a flashlight and some candles. I’m looking forward to some more nights spent building as the temperature drops, and this latest batch of Gunpla releases look like excellent new candidates.

New Releases for September 2015

PG Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn

This is the first Perfect Grade to be released in 2015. Noted for their larger size and mind-boggling complexity, PG models aren’t exactly Gunpla 101. This stunning Banshee Norn will be the centerpiece of any Gunpla collection.

HG High Mobility Type Zaku II Ortega’s Custom (pictured at top)

A striking Zaku rendition with purple accents and a massive heat hawk, as seen in Gundam: The Origin. I love the dynamic base that simulates motion.

HG Prototype Gouf (Battle Plan Actual Proof Type)

A model that shows what an extremely early prototype of the Gouf looked like. Gundam: The Origin has been especially creative with its imaginings of early suits.

HGBF Kamiki Burning Gundam (pictured above)

At long last, the final form of Sekai’s Gundam Build Fighters Try model. Both the photos and early reviewers’ testimonials indicate that this is an especially posable kit.
