This month, we’ve been getting really hyped for The Witch From Mercury! With new cast pictures and a new promotional video, we now have enough information to start speculating about what kind of Gundam protagonist personality Suletta will have. It’s exciting to have a new original Gundam series to speculate about. It’s already unusual with the first female protagonist in a Gundam show (outside of a Build Fighters/Divers situation). In what other ways do you think it might break the mold?
Until The Witch From Mercury premieres in October, we don’t have much Gundam stuff airing right now (unless you’re in Japan, and you were lucky enough to watch Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island in theaters). Likewise, it’s a sluggish summer for new Gunpla. Of course, this is speculative—I’m still in between reliable sources for pre-releases. SDW Heroes Knight Strike Gundam (pictured at top)
Knight Gundam was the protagonist of the original SD Gundam Gaiden show. Now, this latest SD kit takes elements from that classic suit and adds in motifs from the Strike. The result is a modern take on a retro design, perfect for the main character of SD Gundam World Heroes.
