Gunpla Master Grade Gifts

Master Grade models are always something special. With an elevated cost come far more detailed pieces that assemble into a finished piece that is truly a thing of beauty. Here are five of our favorite intricate and unique Master Grade Gunpla for giving as gifts.

1. Gundam PMX-003 THE-O MG 1/100 Scale

An exaggerated silhouette makes this obscure Gunpla from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam an eccentric treat. And you have to admit those red and green details make it perfect for Christmas.

2. MG Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex Model Kit

Gold foil finish on top, opalescent blue beneath. While it’s canonically spelled differently from the mythical bird, this Gunpla looks like something capable of rising from the ashes like a phoenix.

3. GX-9900 Gundam X “After War Gundam X”

An otherwise traditional-looking model, Gundam X’s best asset is its distinct iridescent satellite canon. I think John wanted this one on the shopping list as a hint to me to buy it for him!

4. Gundam Epyon ver EW

Epyon’s alternating crimson and black armor pieces make a serious statement at the Master Grade level. I think this is one of the most underappreciated suits from Gundam Wing.

5. Nu Gundam Version Ka “Char’s Counterattack”

Version Ka models tend to exaggerate the original design in all the right places, and this Nu Gundam is no different. The asymmetry and height of the mounted weapons add drama to the suit.
